My husband and I went to Secard to buy a new above ground pool. We saved & saved until we could afford the pool we dreamed of that was in our price range. We were so excited! We rented a truck, picked up the boxes, sun rains & bottom padding, came home, graded the place it will be going, added 2" of sand, put down a large tarp, 2 layers of what they call happy bottom. We were ready to start the set up. Got everything together, started the hose to get water going... finally the home st reach (so we thought). We were almost 1/4 of the way full & about a few hours into the water flowing, that when we notice a small hole in the side. Quick! Turn off the water!!! Called up the manager we bought the pool from. We were instructed to send photos- we did as instructed- then we were informed an hour later that we should just patch it...this pool was only up for lass than 8 hours!!! A patch?!? Really, on a brand new pool? That's when we got the line "well, it may have happened during assembly" really? A hole less that 2 feet above the ground to happen in assembly when everything connects at the top? So here we sit, 24 hours later, a pool 1/4 full, disheartened parents and a sad kid waiting to go in a swimming pool. It is beyond me how the manager thinks a patch on a defective pool liner that had been up let than 6 hours & filling with water & in a warehouse for who knows how long is an appropriate fix.
