Poorly written contract-tenants can leave with 60 days notice at anytime
I listed my property for rent with Renter's warehouse. They have a clause in all contracts where the tenant can leave at any time with 60 days notice if landlord agrees to it. The lease says this has to be mutually agreed upon with landlord and tenant, but their broker said that is not the way it's interpreted. Regardless of the length of time of their lease, a tenant can leave at any time. This is the only management company that includes this on their lease with a small fee to the tenant to exit the lease. I am their client and did not feel as such. I will not be using them again. This so called "clause" defeats the entire purpose of signing any length of lease if a tenant can leave with only 60 days notice.
I eventually found out they had known for a week and half the tenants were leaving, but NO ONE had contacted me to give me notification. I only found out because there were mover trucks outside the home and my neighbors called me.
Very poor customer service and they did not protect me as a client.
