I recently was faced with repIacing the carpet in my family room which had flooded through the carpet, pad, and particulate flooring.
The damaged carpet was installed several years ago by the San Jose store of S&G. I made contact over the phone with Wendy Kim to establish how much of the damage could be handled by S&G. It was a relief to find they could do the entire job. I went to their store and made a carpet selection which I subsequently learned had to be ordered with a 1-2 week delay. Since we had moved furniture from the family room into the kitchen, and dining room, this delay was not acceptable. My wife and I went to the store to pick out something they had in stock. Shortly after we got home, we got a phone call from Wendy to tell us the carpet they had on hand was slightly short of our need. I was ready for another trip to make a selection but Wendy came up with an alternative. She knew what we were looking for and selected several alternatives and an S&G representative came to our home to present the alternatives. We made our selection and was pleased to learn it was less expensive than our earlier choices.
This was just before Thanksgiving and Wendy got us an installation schedule within a couple of days, The installers showed up early. They removed the old carpet, installed the particle board subflooring, the padding, and the carpet in a little over five hours. Everyone I dealt with at S&G was totally professional and took a lot of the pressure off me.
