a nightmare

Spoke to Matt the estimator on 6/14, signed a contract and paid in full for a bamboo flooring job, was given an install date of 6/25. I impressed upon Matt that I will be taking time off to be present for the job so a firm commitment to 6/25 was needed and he reassured me that it would not be a problem and if material cannot arrive in time, I will receive ample notice to reschedule. For confirmation, I then spoke to Jonathan McCormick the following Monday at the Elk Grove store to ensure that material will arrive in time and was told he would call back the following day to confirm which he never did. I called the following day and Mr. McCormick was off. I called again the next day and was assured by Mr. McCormick that all material will arrive in time for install on 6/25 and that I will receive a call confirming the installation from the install department. I never received a call from installation department and out of concerned called again on 6/24 to make sure that everything was scheduled and ready to go--I spoke to the floor lead and was told that I was not on the install schedule and some material have not arrived so a full installation was not possible on 6/25. As a customer, I have done all the leg work for the coordination, was given assurance by my sales representative Jonathan McCormick that 6/25 install will go as plan, I took time off at an expense of lost pay to be present at the job, I moved all the furnitures and prepared the install area at additional expense of some movers and then was told by S&G the job will not happen and no manager was available to address the issue. I then elected to cancel the job and was told I had to pay a "restocking fee". What a nightmare! Is this what 5-Star Service is??? Let all readers of this review be the judge--if this were you, would you not be upset?
