Nobody's perfect, but I would put 10 stars on Will Recommend if it were possible. We picked the right place to replace our 1200 sq. ft. of carpet with wood/plastic composite planks. Not the cheapest material, but waterproof and very durable (we have naughty dogs). On day 1 of installation, Alex, our installer, noticed a big height difference between our existing hard flooring and the subfloor beneath the old carpet + pad. The person who quoted our job somehow missed that. Uh-oh, expectations of additional expenses and delays! How to fix this? Alex said the only right way to do it is to lay 3/4" plywood over the entire area to bring the heights closer together. After a phone call, he said "You made a good choice with S&G. They are paying for the plywood; no additional cost to you. Wow! That had to be a big cost they ate on this job.
By the end of day 1 the entire area was prepped and covered with new 3/4" plywood. By the end of day 2, all 1200'+ of plank was installed and there were only a few details remaining. Day 3 was baseboards and touch-up, which only took about 2 hours. The job was originally planned to take 4-5 days! Happy customers! Remember folks, service is more important than price when it comes to taking care of your home. We will definitely go to S&G in the future, and you should too.
Why the 4 stars for service? Just some small disconnect on communication of start times, but that didn't become a problem.
