Totally impressive customer service from the initial contact at a home show, to the measuring appointment, the ordering and consistent/frequent contact about the status of the carpet, and the installers, then... FOLLOW UP. S&G definitely have the "customer is king/queen" as a value and demonstrates it well.

First, the sale: I shopped all the carpet folks...a local store, The Floor Store, and Interior Design Company, Carpeteria, Costco and the box stores --- I knew exactly what carpet brand and style I wanted. I ran across S&G at a Concord Pavilion home show and they offered great specials and incentives...and they meant it. It wasn't just for a low grade carpet, it was for all the carpets they offered. I was pleased that they didn't have a bait and switch routine going on. And they meant it when they said they'd beat any competitor's price --- they did.

Second, the measuring: Very impressive how the measurer Mark, using his CAD program on his iPad demonstrated how to get the most use of the carpet for the rooms, and especially since mine had a pattern match. He showed me the different ways he was working it. and suggested that I have left over binded to use as hall runners.

Third, the order: Turned out that I selected a very popular carpet and no one (they weren't kidding because I checked) no one could get it in because the Mill was making it. S&G knew I had surgery planned and they put a full core press on my order and sure enough, it arrived about a week earlier than other stores said it would come in. They kept me informed on the status and what they were doing to get the carpet in.

Fourth, the installation: I've had carpet installed several times at my former house, most recently in December when I was getting it ready for sale. It was night and day with the S&G folks --- they were meticulous and even brought a vacuum to tidy up afterwards. They were extra careful not to scuff up walls and baseboards. A terrific group --- and I saw the same exact white glove installation at my mother's house three days prior (I ordered her new carpet from S&G).

Don't bother wasting your time going all around - just ask them for their best price. When a company can beat Costco's pricing, that's truly a good deal. So shout out to Mark, Justin, Lexi and all the installers used by S&G - hats off to a great customer experience!
