I reviewed the Paramount Roofing and Siding website before I chose them and I really liked the amount of info they provided. Mike personally came out to give us an estimate on replacing our garage roof. He answered all my questions and was very thorough. My husband is the type of person who will research for ages before we do something like this and I found it really reassuring that many of the things Mike told me when he came to do the estimate were things I remembered my husband mentioning about what we would need. It both gave me the sense that Mike knew what he was talking about and it was reassuring that he didn't have a derogatory attitude toward me as a female which unfortunately is sometimes the case with service people. Mike explained everything to me clearly and talked to me about the different options we had in terms of cost. His overall attitude was highly professional. They were here when they said they would be so there was no chasing around. A big project like this is stressful anyway. It's not like every day you just run out and get a new roof, so I was glad that I didn't have to babysit at all.

It turns out that the roof on our garage was erroneously called a "flat roof" and was riddled with problems because our home is older and as it turns out the construction was poor. I showed Mike all the problems we were having with leaking and rotting and he explained to me why that was happening with the setup we had. It really made sense. He took a lot of time out here and stayed quite a while to do the estimate. The other thing too is that his wife Patty answers the phones at the office and she is absolutely fabulous. She knows the work and knows the guys and helps make everything easy. If you call and you don't get Mike, you get Patty and that's great.

The pricing for this job was competitive. We were actually going to do some of the work ourselves and with materials and labor and everything I dont think he was over the top at all in his pricing. I feel he was very fair. We had gotten another estimate from a local roofer and he quoted us like five times the amount of money, and then when we called him back to talk about it he offered us a 10% discount. So that's when we stopped dealing with them and decided to go with Paramount. The key word is that you can trust them. They're not going to try to rip you off or sell you something you dont need. They'll ask you about what you have and what you want to have and they'll explain to you how to get there. When it comes time to replace the roof on the rest of the house I'm sure we will call them again. We were extremely pleased.
