We have used this clinic for 16 years for seven different pets and until recently Al might have given them a decent writing but I would never recommend them at this point. We boarded our 16 year old Terrier who died within less than a week after being home so I don't have any good feelings about this place any longer. You can read the below comments and make your own decision regarding your pet.

We have or rather had a 16 year old rat terrier named Sugar. And I realize that 16 is a ripe old age for a dog but a little girl was one tough old lady. She was spry and spunky prior to being boarded. My husband and I were going to be out of town for several days and typically we have a relative who comes over and takes care of our pets when we are out of town. We also have an older terrier named Casey who is 17. Sugar and Casey have been together all their lives and Casey had developed an incontinence problem. We decided that due to this our best choice would probably be to board her while we were away. We thought that it was better if they stayed together and decided boarding them where they have been looked after all their lives was probably our best choice. We asked them to do some tests on Casey for her incontinence problem. We checked in with them and they told us they had put her on some medication. Each time we called we were assured that both pets were doing okay. When we picked them up we were given back over half the food which we had left for them and were given filthy blankets in a garbage bag which had to be thrown away before we could even get halfway home. So it was only after we got home that we realize the condition Sugar was in. She had visibly lost weight, she was unable to stand and she was clearly dehydrated. We were able to get her to eat something that first day but she was unable to keep down what she ate. I did speak with the vet's office the following day and voice my concerns about the amount of food that was left over and they at first insisted that they followed instructions but when they were not able to make the math work on the amount of food left versus the number of days in their care they admitted that there might have been a mistake. At that point I told them that I was very disappointed and would not be using them any longer. Sugar became very sick and I made the decision to take her back there to let them see the condition she was in. The vet was visibly shocked at her weight loss because according to the chart she had gone from 19.6 to 15 lbs in days. They did blood work and she was diagnosed with acute kidney failure. Her condition was too severe for anything to be done. So I took her home and I held her all night while she suffered. It was heart-wrenching to see her suffer. She was only able to lay there and moan while her legs involuntarily kicked and fluids drained from her mouth. I picked her up and took her outside for the last time the next morning and she was unable to even realize that she was outside. I laid her on the sofa and walked away for 5 minutes. I had planned to sit with her until the vet opened and take her in so that she could be put down. Thankfully that didn't have to be. I'm pretty sure that she didn't want to go back there any more than I did.

Oh and one last thing. We received paperwork from the vet several days later with the ID cards and general information from the check up both pets had while there. And imagine this. The information for the 2 was mixed up. Wrong pet. Wrong info. So what else wrong happened? Which dog was treated and given incontinence meds? Was Sugar treated with Casey's meds? Did this have anything to do with acute kidney failure? Guess I'll never know. What I do know is that I will never trust another animal to their care.
