Catch 22 type incompetence
Starting in April after I lost one hearing aid and up to May 20, the McLean HearingDoctors office proved very badly managed and frustratedly incompetent. On the appointed date the replacement was to have already arrived and I would be refitted, I drove to the McLean office only to be informed the wrong hearing aid had been sent and would be returned. At my request, I was assured that the correct one would come for fitting before I left on a long trip. Hearing nothing just before I departed, I drove to the McLean office and was told that the correct hearing aid had not arrived. A third frustrating drama occurred after I returned for the next appointment—seeking better results, I had requested the fitting be arranged at the Palisades Sterling office. I received no reminder in the days before the May 20 (third!) appointment; I called in that morning and was told I had no appointment. After rushing to the McLean office and being rebuffed, I drove directly to the Palisades Serling office. They had received the hearing aid and I was nicely refitted at that office.
