I have used Able Movers twice. The first time was to take my belongings out of my home and place them into a storage unit. They charged me for everything being moved but left things strewn in the house and the garage in addition to that I had to use my own truck to load because they did not get it all in their moving truck. They broke a picture and they did replace the glass for that picture.

The second time I used them was to move my belongings from the storage unit to the new house that I had built.

When I initially had the conversation with Tim I let him know that I pay cash and I always like to support local business. He let me know at that time that he would give me a 10% discount with both moves because I was paying cash. These movers were also supposed to set up anything that they had taken apart such as tables and things like that. They ended up just stacking things everywhere and no real progress was made in putting things back together as discussed and there really was no way for me to know that because things again were just stacked everywhere.

The movers arrived to load the storage shed and that went ok. Some of the movers were a little sketchy but I chalked it up as it is just the way things are in this day and age. I wouldn't have felt comfortable leaving money out if that helps anyone. The movers this time broke some china teacups that were gold-trimmed. I did speak to Tim about this and he informed me that I would not have to turn it into my homeowner's insurance that Able Movers had insurance that would cover the cost of them and I just needed to send the cups with one of the movers and he would take care of that. I have not heard a thing about them since nor have I received compensation for them. In addition, he told me if he had to submit that damage to his insurance that I would not get the 10% discount. This company also charged me by the box and first they charged me the 100 box fee but then when I received the bill they had charged me for 200 boxes and I went back and counted the boxes and there were only 137 boxes.

The only thing that I liked about this company was that they were locally owned and absolutely everything else was horrible. I have been asked twice who my movers were and both times I have said not to use them. I will never use this company again and certainly will never recommend them.
