I have called/emailed PA State many times about my question towards renewal, they never returned my call. I contacted PAN because my co-worker told me they always answer all the questions within minutes. I m glad I did! Very good customer service (my guy named Jon) with nice attitude.

So here is my question if it can help others: " I don't notarize things often and now realized it is expired yesterday. While I was doing the researching, it says "renewal request must be submitted at least 2 months before the commission expiration date", I wonder what shall I do? Can I still renew it as a reappointment or shall I apply as a new applicant? Thanks"

And here is Jon's answer within 30 seconds: " You can renew as a reappointment still. We just recommend starting 2 months beforehand, so there is not a lapse in your commission.
You can still renew with the same process and no additional steps, you just won't be able to notarize until you are reappointed. "
