Job is Completed And Won't Call Again

As a first time homeowner I'm new to the whole flooring thing. After Floorgem Services was done, I felt like I needed more education on what was supposed to go into the job. As far as what was best for the leveling and materials used for the flooring versus what I did get.

During the job, several things were overlooked that could've caused some real damage. First, they covered an air registry. If I hadn't been there they wouldn't have stopped to recover it. And they also left cement residue in the sink. I had to scrub it out before it stuck in place.

This was my first experience with a contractor and the price was much higher than what I expected from the proposal. I had the carpets taken out separately but I didn't know how much would going into leveling. The price was more than expected and the flooring that was applied wasn't the best so I had to overcompensate.

I was referred to this business through a friend. At first things were on the up and up when I was negotiating with the lead guy. But the workers came out and I was told the service would be more expensive.

Overall, I don't think the service was great. I'm just happy the job got done and I stayed to keep an eye on things. If I hadn't I would've lost a sink and air registry.

I understand that there were several concerns throughout the job; however, I thought that everything was worked out and the job turned out as well as it could have given the leveling concerns that needed to be addressed. Occasionally, it is difficult to pre determine the amount of work that will be necessary when it comes to leveling and I think that we did our best to not only resolve the leveling issues, but also do so at a very fair cost. I think that you can see by the reviews left on Customer Lobby that I always try to do the best job possible at a fair and reasonable price. I realize that your feelings regarding the job are based on your experience with FloorGem and I sincerely apologize if you feel that you did not get a the job you expected at a cost that you felt was fair.
I hope that you will consider withdrawing this review understanding that we try our best to do a good job every time at at a fair price. A negative impact can hurt a small business much more that a positive review can help. I hope that you will reconsider and I appreciate your concerns and will work towards doing the best possible job for all customers every time. I do care very much about my customers and the quality of the work,
