This is my second job with FloorGem. I needed hardwood installed in two rooms adjacent to existing hardwood in another room. I special ordered the hardwood from a mill and when it came in FloorGem promptly installed it one day. After the install there were two areas I was unhappy with. One where a joint started to peak, not sure if it was an expansion issue or if it simply wasn't nailed down. The other issue was where the plank was chipped and they filled it in with putty. Normally I wouldnt care too much about this if it was in a corner or something, but it was right at the entry of the room and I saw it everytime. I followed up about these issues. At first communication was lacking, and I really wasnt sure if FloorGem was going to come back out to fix it. After a few more emails they got back to me and came out one day unexpectedly to fix it on the spot. For the chipped plank, they took it out and replaced with a leftover plank I had saved. For the peak, they face nailed it. Overall the floor looks great and they got the job done quickly. One huge plus of FloorGem is that they will work with what you provide them where many flooring companies won't install what they don't sell you. In this case in particular the hardwood was a specialty item that I needed to order, not just some Bruce hardwood from Home Depot. Scheduling was a breeze and the install price was fair. Since this company subs out (like almost all floor companies) I would like to see a little personal follow through. Maybe even come out to personally inspect the work or a phone call would go a long way to show that they really care about your project. In the end the project came out well and I'm sure if there is a problem down the road I will be able to call and have it addressed.
