Over priced for a simple job! (around Christmas no less))

$351 for a simple replacement of a pressure regulator valve (non emergency & less than a 30 minute job )..that in located in a walk in closet. We think is a bit much..you have to agree..no Mr.Rooter? Heck there is a shut off valve next to it and the tech quoted a price of $581 to replace both..its 1"pvc and flex line with clamp rings..holy smokes Mr.Rooter..nice guy (the tech) but WOW. He even spotted a suppose it out if date water heater that needed a pressure tank ..he pitched it to be added. The house was built in 2000 and I bought the house in 2014 and my inspector never mentioned it..hmmmm?...you guys got me..congrats! What was it $50-100 for the replacement valve..so $250-300 an hour for labor!!!!!
