Great experience. I would do it again.
My wife got an electric car and my thought was to power it with home solar panels. After getting a few bids, I had second thoughts. I have an old delicate clay tile roof and I didn’t trust anyone to walk on it. A friend of mine suggested doing the work myself and I could save some money. Having just retired, I had some extra time anyway. All I needed was a trusted partner to help me understand what I needed to do and I found just that with the folks from GoGreen. It’s like you have an uncle that is in the business and willing to provide you with the materials while he coaches you on what to do. There was absolutely no sales pressure. I really had a sense that they weren’t trying to push anything on me, they were just there to make sure I had the right materials and installed it the right way. The account manager, Kyle, was extremely responsive during the whole process and I mean knowledgeable replies within a couple of hours. The technical guy, Dave, even talked to me on his commute home and had great insight into what the strictest of inspectors would be looking for in my work. He guaranteed I would pass inspection. He was a guy that was overloaded with work in the busiest part of the season and still showed tremendous patience along with a cheerful, open attitude. My system passed inspection the first time and the inspector was definitely impressed that I had nailed every detail. All I did was follow Dave’s coaching. What I also learned is that there’s a bunch of short cuts the professional installers can do which I didn’t. I doubt that they could afford to take the time to do as clean of an install as I did. Would I recommend these guys at GoGreen to my friends? Heck ya, I already have. I almost want to put another system on my roof just to relive the experience but no room left.
