They are friendly but could improve customer communication!
We placed an order for a dishwasher in January 2022 and we were told it would take four to six months which we were prepared for. We wanted to use a local business because our interior designer told us they were more responsive when it came to servicing and following up with their customers. So after placing the order with Avenue Appliance Store - Kitchen & Home Appliances, we didn't really think about it again until June when we still hadn't heard anything. I reached out to them and they didn't know when it would come in but we weren't really in a rush because our renovation wasn't going to start until the fall. Then in July, we got a call that the dishwasher was in. Unfortunately, the wrong color had been ordered. Rather than giving us any options, they said they would make it right and get us the right color. The frustrating part came when they said it shouldn't take too long, By October, the renovations had started. We wanted to have everything done by the holidays because we have three kids in the family and needed to move back in. I continued to call and follow up with Avenue Appliance until sometime in November when it was explained to me that because the wrong color was ordered at the beginning, getting a whole new dishwasher would take an additional ten months to a year. If I had known that in July I would have explored my options but they didn't give me any options at that time. There was a clear lack of communication. I just kept getting told that they would make it right without getting the full information to make the decision myself. It was frustrating because by now our renovation was just about complete and we needed to have a dishwasher installed within the next two or three weeks. I would hesitate before using them again.
