My first experience using the warranty was almost 3 years after purchase. I was returning home from a trip to the Outer Banks when my 2012 Monaco Diplomat started to overheat and (ultimately) would no longer run. After being towed to a service facility in Bath NY, I was shocked to hear the coach had suffered “catastrophic engine failure” and would require significant repairs to get it back running. The estimate was submitted ($30,000 +) and I was shocked to hear that the entire claim was denied by the underwriter (First Extended), claiming customer error caused the damage.
I was very upset and this is when I contacted Wholesale Warranties and was put in touch with John Wise. John was the most professional, most understanding person I have ever dealt with. He took the time to listen the situation as I explained it asking several clarifying questions to better represent my case.
He then contacted the repair facility and spoke to a Master Service Technician to better understand the failure and why this would happen to an engine with just 28K miles.
In the end, he was able to represent my case to First Extended and get the engine repair covered. My hats off to John, he’s a true professional who understands the meaning of customer service.
