Worst Warranty Experience

I purchased the warranty on my RV for protection on my cross-country trip this past summer and my planned trip with my grandkids next year. Everything was going great until we started to have fuel problems and surging. I was told by Monaco the manufacturer that it was probably the fuel filters but may be a pump problem. I had the filters replaced and hit the road again. I didn't get but a few miles down the road and the surging was still there. We nursed it to the next destination and put in a Certified Cummings repair shop. They pulled the codes and determined that the lift pump and injector pumps were failing and that I was fortunate to have made it to the shop. I notified the warranty company that the repair shop manager would be calling with the repair claim. We were told they were sending an inspector in 24 - 48 hours, which I questioned but accepted when they explained the reason. So we waited to hear from the inspector and after no response I called back to find out that they had never sent him, and that they wouldn't cover the repair anyway since we didn't break down on the highway (requiring a tow at my expense)! They said they don't cover failing parts. Since I was stuck with a broke vehicle and the claim was denied, I had no choice but to tell the repair facility to go ahead and do the repairs. The warranty supervisor in Austin Texas told the Cummings repair facility Manager Ryan a few days later (after it was fixed) that he would reconsider if we resubmitted the claim, and then he told us he would deny it because I went ahead with the repair. So 4 days in temporary lodging and $6500 later we headed back on the road. Guess what the problem was the pumps and we continued on our vacation. I will admit that a few thousand miles later I had to change the filters again but made it home after 11K miles of exploring America. Since the warranty they offered me wasn't worth the paper it was printed on, I requested the policy be cancelled. After waiting a month I finally got a refund check that they nickel and dimed everything they could.

I still have problems believing that they would expect their clients (many whom are elderly or handicapped veterans like myself) to wait until they are broken down on a highway possibly out of cell phone range in order to be covered by their warranty. They should have refunded the entire contract amount after all the $@!#% they gave us!
