Felt Lied to, and I'm out a ton of money
Was sold on my particular contract because "it covered everything but normal maintenance, the roof, and floors". I have a 5th wheel toy hauler. Was told there was no need to read all the fine print because this contract covered everything! It also covered all normal and customary labor fees. First claim in 4 years & almost everything was denied. They paid for a microwave and a breaker box - which was first denied & then after I talked to them several times was finally approved. I was told all the denials was in the contract. Also in the fine print of the contract was the "only up to $80 per hour for labor" which is no where near customary labor fees. But when asked about this when we were purchasing the contract we were told no need to read the fine print - this warranty covers more than most and will always cover your labor. But now that I'm trying to get help paying for repairs, I'm told they are bound by the words in the contract and they are sorry if anything was misleading when the contract was purchased. I was lied to. I was sold something that has a loophole for everything. And when they got involved to help speak to the warranty company on my behalf - it didn't matter, because everything that was denied was rightly denied because it was in writing in the tiny print 5 page contract that I was told not to worry about reading because everything was covered. Yes it was my fault that I didn't sit down and read each & every page of the fine print. But when you read things like "all items with regards to the slide out will be covered" you don't think about the fine print on page 3 that shows all the things about the slide out that won't be covered. I feel very taken. And it is very obvious they have enough customers that they do not care if they lose my business or not. Buyer beware!!
