What to expect when you cancel a policy

I had a five year protection plan on a class A motorhome. I traded the motorhome and cancelled the policy after 2.5 years.
Insurer states because of the claims there would be no refund.
There was a claim for the electric step mechanism and a claim for an A/C compressor replacement.
I paid $3000 for the policy and received nothing upon cancellation.
Be very aware of the Viking Protection Plan and BP RV & Marine along with Wholesale Warranties.
These were two very very expensive repairs.
Use extreme caution when doing business with these companies.
