A little communication goes a long way
We needed two moves with monster movers. The first one was in summer, the second was in fall. The first one in summer went very well. We liked the crew they did a great job and we asked for them in the fall. What we got was a different crew, and they lost parts of our refrigerator in shipment. The effort to try to get those parts replaced was a total disaster. Monster movers was very slow to get back to us. We always had to chase them to get an update for what was happening, because they never contacted us without us contacting them first. In the end they simply mailed us a check to cover the amount of the parts that were lost. We thought they were doing the right thing, and ordering the parts for us because they lost them. Instead they pawned that off on us. We even had to look up the parts on the Sears website and see how much they cost and get the part numbers, then tell Monster Movers because they would not do any of the legwork. They never told us they were mailing the check, they never called to verify that we got it, they never asked if that would be acceptable. Their communication skills and follow-up were among the worst we've encountered. We have one more move left and sadly, we will not be using them. We had very high hopes after the first move, but after the second one we just can't do it.
