Eventual paintwork was above average. Other problems were many

Overall, the final job completed was above average. Painters were polite and did good quality work. Everyone was respectful and careful about the house itself.

My gripes were...that an experienced estimator bid the interior job at near $6,000. ("Yeah, I should not have done that" he said).

Later we got a bill for over $14,000 even after he offered to lower the bill. During the discussion of paint colors, he said that using fewer paints would save us money. Our final bill was more than double higher than the original verbal estimate. That is not less.
I could understand a bid being off by 10-15%. But off by over 200%?

I would NOT have had the work done at that price. I felt pressured into accepting the job, because I asked for the time slot and work after hearing the $6K bid.

The "bait and switch" was highly unethical. I felt misled, had no written estimate nor did I sign an approval for the new estimate.

By the way, I even offered to pay $200 more for better caulking, but I till had to point out some (not all) of the unfilled caulking holes in the house. I asked Micah to plug several, and he did. But many others were left unfilled. No one apparently did an "eagle-eye" walk around of the house to get those last holes filled.

If I was the owner of the company, I would reduce the bill on the interior painting to closer to the original bid.

Please send updated billing for both interior and exterior. Sorry, I will not recommend the company.
