I had a very unique situation. 26 years ago in Albuquerque, New Mexico, I bought some of the last Indonesian teak flooring. They stopped its import after that because they were cutting down all the forests. I looked around for the flooring for a couple months, bought it from different stores, and got enough to do my rooms in Albuquerque back then.

Well, the employer I was with back then cancelled some programs, so I had to move north, and I brought the flooring with me. It stayed in my attic until two years ago, when I decided to lay down the teak throughout the house. The naturally fanned panels needed a professional buff and polish.

Three different companies I called wouldn't do it, so I called Sound Cleaning Resources and explained the situation to them. The teak was dry as a bone, so I told them it needed a really good cleaning with a heavy weight buffing machine and lots of coats of polish afterwards.

They didn't shy away from the quote. When the tech showed up, he said wow, this is going to be quite a job. But he was good natured, and they were fair priced. They didn't try to jack up the price with us and did a good job. They did what it took, even though it took four times as long as normal. The tech was very pleasant and good natured, and I've dealt with enough other outfit that weren't like that.

It's not even the company so much as the person. The tech they sent over, Bill Chalmers, was a nice guy, pleasant, and good natured as heck. He worked methodically until the job was done right. I can't tell you how nice it was to deal with someone like Bill.
