This is the worst contractor that I have ever detl with.

Instead of putting washer and dryer in garage, only 2 to 3 feet away, they put in great room, about 20 feet away. All the lint and dirt from the dryer was carried into the great room. I asked them why they did not put just put everything in the garage and they said it was easier to put in great room even though they knew I did not want it there. Most of the furniture in the great room had to be move and they did not do it very carefully. I thought Joe was going to pull the book shelf apart he jerked it so had.
Joe sawed off door jams did not capture saw dust and it went all over and then the tracked it around for a while. I am now going to have to empty and clean the pantries in the laundry room and kitchen closet.
When removing existing flooring in entry way started sawing without trying to capture saw dust. After I said something, they made a poor attempt with a fan to blow the dust out the front door. When I was cleaning up after them I found pieces of staples embedded in the wall.
Used kitchen sink to fill up their work buckets without asking. There is a work sink in the garage and water hoses outside.
Mitered corners on metal trim had a 1/8 gap and did not meet with the existing trim. Also there is a 1/4 X 1 long place that did not meet the existing trim. They fixed with clear silicone caulking. Trim does not run all the way to the railing looks unfinished. Damaged existing trim and tried to fix with stain.
Move all of the appliances back in the kitchen around 9:30 pm. Joe was calling his partner names and bossing him around very unprofessionally. All of the appliances hit the wall and kitchen counter top as they carried them back to where they belonged. Carpet was dirty and had new stains. Joe was in such a hurry that he damaged one of my book shelves. Oak molding around patio door was damaged, Joe use silicone instead of wood glue to fix.
About 10 pm they decided that they were done and Joe asked for the check. I said that I was not going to pay until I could inspect in daylight. I told them that I was not happy at that point. There were many places on the railing posts and kitchen cabinet that had grout on them. At that point they decided that they needed to do more work. The applied more grout in places that were not adequately filled and made a poor attempt to clean up the grout on the post, kitchen cabinets and floor. The cleaning actually made everything look worse. They also pulled a couple of bent nails in the baseboard that would have been missed if they had left at 10. He also left the remaining grout and said I can fill any spots that they missed.

We will "always" work with a customer to make them happy with choosing us. This particular job 100 structuraly sound, and will continue to be so for the next 30 years. We did not do proper clean-up. And were remiss in asking the cusomers permision to turn on our radio, and where we would put the appliances. We also could have done a more professional job with the grout installation. As compensation we gave the customer nearly $600. for the clean-up and grout work that he performed. The $600. was more than the profit on the material we sold him. We have always been and always will be fair to all of our clients. 70 of our business is referal business, and I am proud to say this the only customer that would not recomend us or have us back to do more work.
