Attempt to sell their services

I was a bit disappointed. They were good, but I was expecting to get an evaluation of things I could personally do to lower the energy bills. But it was a poorly disguised attempt to sell me on their services. And one estimate for a service to clean out the vents was very high after I did comparison shopping. The gentleman who came was very nice and thorough, but I was expecting something different. I paid to have them give me an estimate of what they would do for me. That should have been free!

I can understand how you could have a concern about the relationship between the audit and retrofit process. However let me reassure you that we are a company of integrity and are only interested in helping our customer achieve their goals.

We are a BPI (Building Performance Institute) Gold Star Contractor and as such we commit to strict quality strict quality, professional and ethical standards. The audits that we perform, much like a home inspection, require a follow up report for the homeowner with a documented analysis of our findings, a list of solutions for any problems and an estimate of costs to make repairs. The report is left with the homeowner to proceed however they desire. Whichever direction they take, doing work themselves, hiring another contractor or having us do the work, they can be assured if they use the report that we prepared, everything is backed up by building science.

We are committed to 100 customer satisfaction and if anyone is not satisfied with the value of the audit, we will be happy to refund their money.
