Never even a "Thank You"

After agreeing to purchase my Mercedes, I was encouraged to "buy before the end of the month" to help their sales production. I agreed and purchased the vehicle. From there, the experience was not pleasant, or customer friendly. The tone of the sales "manager" was simply condescending. So much so, I actually had to terminate a phone conversation with him when he repeatedly interrupted me. I was misled about the "hidden costs" in the purchase (I was required to purchase their "interior protectant" in addition to the agreed cost of the vehicle), shipping (both when it would occur, as well as the cost), and the delivery of the paperwork (title, etc). Each time (after the time period had passed) I called and outlined my specific understanding of what was promised me, and each time I was told that it wasn't a "big deal" and that I should be happy with how smoothly the process proceeded. And believe me, NO ONE at Greater Chicago Motor ever even said "Thank You'... Nice car, terrible sales experience.

Being the largest independent highline dealer in the city of Chicago that specializes in out of state deals, I am very disappointed in our company and sales team for a review like this. This has been one of a very few negative review we have received in a very long time. I did meet with Casey and josh, my sales team, to go over where we went wrong as a company. I did review some emails (including the final bill of sale) sent to Mr. Pike and it clearly states how much he is paying for the car with a itemized listing of the fees.
We did fail, however, in addressing an appropriate shipping time. We told the client the car would get shipped out on Monday and a mishap with the driver delayed the process until wed (2 days). It was out of our hands but we are still responsible and apologize for the delayed shipping. We are happy that the car was shipped successfully and the client had no complaints about the condition of the car. We will do a better job next time of telling the client a more realistic time to ship the car. We do appreciate the business and for a client to wire money for a car sight unseen from over 600 miles away I feel we did something right.
