Pete at Pete's Gear Shop in Hayward is personable, and very helpful. I have used another transmission shop before to be able to compare, and it it night and day. Pete communicates well and is forthright. If there's a problem, they tell me about it in a very friendly way. They looked for a part for my daughter's 1965 mustang, and after contacting three places for me finally found it. As a woman, working with a man about a transmission is a stretch for me, and I never felt taken advantage of. Pete was jovial, and I never felt that he was condescending towards me, he treated me as if I had the knowledge I needed to understand. If you ever need transmission work, go to Pete's.
