Our technician noted that the indoor coil was restricted. Most times, it’s restricted due to it being dirty. You have the choice to pull out the coil to clean it (which doesn’t guarantee the problem will be solved and can also cause leaks later) or you can replace it. Based on the fact that your equipment is 24 years old, it was our technician’s professional opinion that you will be better served with a new energy efficient system rather than invest in a system of that age. We always try to provide our customers with options and we apologize if our technician didn’t make your options clear.
