I wish to extend a big thank you to Dennis Kaltenbruner, the owner of German Car Specialist, and his very competent Team of Mechanics and Staff.

I had obtained a distressed 1999 Porsche Boxster with a blown engine and an optional 3.4 Ltr engine from a Porsche 911. Both Motors required rebuilding, and if we used the 911 motor a conversion would have been required to install the motor in the Boxster. The Boxster was a USA based car so it also required an Out Of Country inspection as well as an Out Of Province inspection.

Dennis and his Team at German Car Specialist, took on the project of restoring this vehicle back to a reliable, road worthy, safe, and Alberta Canada registered car. They began with a general assessment of Both Motors, and the vehicle itself and all the major systems in the car. They found both engine options were in need of complete rebuilds, and that the cars basic electronic infrastructure was intact and operational.

Dennis then produced 2 options for me to choose from, to proceed with the project with approximate pricing for each option.

I chose to have the cars existing engine completely rebuilt and to scrap the conversion option, since we could not be as exact on the price due to unknowns doing a conversion.

As they proceeded with the rebuild and general reconditioning of the cars systems, Dennis kept me advised of the progress and any obstacles and extra service requirements as they presented themselves. The communication throughout the project was top-notch.

At the end of the project the pricing was close to plan, my Boxster passed all inspections, and all systems had been checked, serviced and were operational.

I have had the Car 3 weeks now and love it. Last weekend I took it through the mountains out to BC. The car ran perfect and I am very happy with it.

I only have great things to say about my experience with German Car Specialist and their team of staff. Right from the front counter to the shop I received nothing but the finest service level one could hope for. In this day and age service like this is almost impossible to find.
