AAMCO Transmissions & Auto Service of Fort Worth

They were very personal and very nice, but I'm not really happy with the result.

The people at AAMCO were nice and everything, and the car is running, but I'm not entirely satisfied. When I took my car in, I didn't know if it was the transmission or what, and it ended up being the torque converter. They put a new torque converter in the car, then I took it and started driving and noticed the gears changes were really rough, and now my check engine light is on. It wasn't on before, so I asked them and they told me to take it to a dealership. It's still changing gears really rough, so I'm wondering what overpriced, aftermarket torque converter I paid $1200 for.

Thank you for your kind words about us. I would only ask that you please take a look closer at your invoice. The amount of $1200.0 includes: labor, fluid, tax, towing, and the torque converter. As for the performance of the car, if you will remember, we recommended that the transmission be rebuilt in addition with the converter and there were two engine sensors that needed to be replaced. Against the technicians recommendations, we honored your decision to replace the converter only; as it was the main problem causing your car not to run. If you have changed your mind about what you wanted to be repaired, then please let us know. We will still offer you the price we quoted you back in October 2011; and, you can still take advantage of the 24 month payment option. Please contact us. Your total satisfaction is our goal.
