Fantastic Staff and Service!
I recently brought in my 2010 Subaru Forrester with an elusive issue - wouldn't start when temps went below 30 degrees.
The previous owner had brought the car in to Casey Automotive in Palatine several times so I thought I would do the same as they had a history of working on this car.
The technician checked out the car thoroughly and determined the issue was a faulty ignition coil which had been replaced nearly two years ago under previous ownership. The part was replaced and the car was kept at the shop overnight as the temp was to dip below 30 degrees. Guess what - no start.
It was determined this replacement part was also faulty and a genuine Subaru part was ordered and installed. Car kept in the lot again until temps dipped into the 20's and car started! Problem solved!
Thanks to the staff at Casey for their tenacity in finding the issue and ensuring the car was properly repaired. The best part (for me) is the diagnostic fee and part was covered under warranty - even though ownership had changed.
I definitely will bring my vehicles to Casey Automotive in Palatine in the future and recommend this shop highly for everyone else. And special thanks to the service manager (Alex) and the technician(s) that worked on my Subaru! Great job!
