I have recently purchased a home and got my loan through Mortgage Bankers Acceptance Company.
I had a complex situation. I had a divorce just finishing up, very little capital to work with, and very little time. I will say that I have and have always had a very good credit rating - a plus for me. My situation felt impossible especially in light of all of the new mortgage regulations and laws in effect.
But I thought I'd at least inquire. I sent an email to Jerry Seibum of MBAC just to inquire. Jerry has done at least 3 home loans for me in the pastTo my astonishment his reply was : "oh yes I think so. I've just finished up a loan with almost the same circumstances as yours". I really thought I was beyond hope even though I felt a little confident with my steady income and good credit. I had been looking and had some prospects in mind and sent over the info to Jerry. About this same time I found that I had to be out of the house I was renting.
Jerry reassured me and asked if I had a particular house in mind - I did.
So, with just 45 days to work with, very little capital, and a divorce in its final phase....Jerry and the expert team at MBAC got to work shopped for a great loan for me and got me the loan. Got me a great interest rate too. Walked me through the whole process. Worked with me. Reassured me as well that all was going well.
They needed my complete cooperation through the process. Yes, one must produce an enormous volume of documentation these days for a home mortgage but with a good scanner most work was accomplished by email.
I don't think any other lender could have so professionally handled a 30 year fixed FHA home loan with the ease Jerry and team MBAC did. I would have been very reluctant to entrust a loan to anyone without Jerry's experience and his teams expertise.
All along the way I could see potential for trouble but MBAC steered me though. It took tremendous experience and knowledge to work my loan. MBAC made it seem easy. They are a well-respected Mortgage Banker and have a great network of equally helpful professionals at each point along the way.
