From the front desk to the mechanics, I only have praise for Car Craft of Athens. I have had over 10 vehicles serviced there for over 30 years and have always been treated with great care and respect.

The employees and management of businesses in my experience are usually an extension of the owner... occasionally by design, but often by modeling. Steve Tingle seems to want for my car what he would want for his car ... service done right the first time with good communication at a fair price. So, Car Craft of Athens loves this Golden Rule approach.

I have also learned over time that cars are complicated electro-mechanical-fluid devices, that we live in a fallen, broken world where we can control less than we think, and that the older cars I drive can present all kinds of problems to my mechanics.

Over 30 years, has Car Craft nailed every problem the first time with all my cars. Nope, just 95 of the time. Realistically, that is really amazing to me... almost always right is stellar in my book.

And what I love about this place is that they are committed to helping me fix everything they can, and if they make a mistake, they work to make it as right as they can. Simply put, they clearly aspire to practice what they preach.

It comes down to trust, competency, and fair pricing for me. Car repair is always more expensive than I tend to think it will be or like.
I think your car place boils down to trusting someone to work hard to be right and trusting them to be honest when they're wrong (as everyone will be on occasion). I have found the folks I trust at Car Craft of Athens.
