I took a chance by going to Mulitstate Transmission in Livonia, but unfortunately it didn't pay off for me. I needed my transfer case replaced, and instructed them to go ahead and replace it with a used one, which they did. Another shop discovered that the part was leaking, so I took it back to Multistate.

Basically, they told me that's the risk I took by buying a used part. They also told me that they don't guarantee parts so it was going to cost me an additional $250 to get it removed and replaced. In the end, with all the money I had spent, I could have purchased a brand new part with warranties somewhere else.
