I am not the average home audio/video/automation customer since I have had some form of distribution in my house since it was built in 1998. I've also dabbled in that work as a home enthusiast and my profession means I am well versed in internet infrastructure. Since 1998 I have used several local companies to set up and modify my system and all have failed to meet my standards.

I was initially attracted to Concept Electronics because of the breadth of vendors they represent. I needed someone who could handle maintenance of the varied systems I already have installed. I was impressed by their team's professionalism and attention to detail, especially to the non-sexy wiring and power aspects. The wiring job alone is worthy of a Fortune 50 company's data center. I know the attention to detail will pay dividends over the upcoming years when it comes to the inevitable upgrades and replacements. It is a shame it is all hidden behind the racks.

Their equipment recommendations were excellent and a perfect match to my needs. In my experience, lower grade equipment does not stand the test of time and creates more frustration than it is worth. Their team stays on top of advances in the industry and demonstrated their emphasis on performance, durability, and flexibility. The key to making these systems work though is the integration and programming. It is very satisfying to control my audio, video, HVAC, lighting and security (including cameras) from a single iPod (iPhone, iPad too). While some advertised systems seem to offer this capability out of the box, I know that it took knowledge and skill to make this work with the quality equipment I demand for my viewing and listening experiences.
