Very very expensive electric company--hold on to your checkbook!

I called for service on Thursday and set up-service on Saturday..Advertised for no premium rates on weekend but I think $874.00 for less than 3 hours of work reflects a lot of overhead in AAA electric. Technician (Mason) quoted additional $319.00 to add another circuit in the same wall. He said because " it will be to code.". A lot of electricians work to code for less than this amount. Technician left old discontinued outlet hanging out of wall until I asked him to cover it.

He wrote on his invoice "refused safety check" that he never offered until I said " you never offered that.". Then he said well I can do it now.

The following is the original notations for the service call as relayed to the technician that went out on the job.
The Forced Air Unit (FAU) currently installed on existing lighting circuit and had been upgraded causing over loaded circuit. Installed dedicated 20AMP circuit to FAU using existing conduit. Tested ok. Customer denied safety inspection at this time. Tested heater, ok. Disconnected spare wire to existing outlet at front door and it is a safety concern, possible shock/fire hazard.
As per our service technician the outlet that Ms. Clements is concerned about was not part of our original service call; however, he did remove the sub-code wire and safe it off.
There was no extra cost for having our service technician come out and service this property on a Sunday to accommodate Ms. Clements and her tenant. The amount she was charge would have been the same amount she would be charged on any given weekday. We do same day service at regular service rates 7 to 7 7 days a week.
Our technicians are state certified, drug tested, and wear company uniforms. AAA Electrical Services guarantees all our work to the customers satisfaction
Pricing is always quoted to clients prior to any work being initiated. If she was unhappy with our work and the cost, she should not have signed the approval to continue.
