The most recent experience with R.J.& G. Collision & Automotive Repair was when my car wouldn't start. They have worked on every car I have owned since I started living in the triangle. Being car illiterate I took it straight to them. They told me the starter was dead and ordered a new one. To get to the starter they had to remove my oil filter, and they noticed that my oil was jet black, not conducive to good oil. They suggested I get an oil change, which I did.

I also had them do a bypass on the electrical startup interlock on my ignition. It has an extra piece, and if I bump it or knock it out of alignment the car doesn't start. I just had them bypass the whole thing so that I didn't have to worry about it anymore. I got my car back inside of a day. Everything seemed to be working better after the oil change and new starter.

Monday morning I tried starting the car and it sputtered and died. I started it once more and the check engine light was on. When I took it into R.J.& G. it turned out that it was an issue unrelated to both previous problems. A temperature sensor for my electric transmission had gone bad. They went in and replaced it. They saved me money because with my type of car the dealership would have gone straight to replacing the computer. They did a little more work to figure out that it was my sensor, not my computer. It was so much less expensive, and they knocked it out for me in a day.

They are really good at sticking to their estimates. They also only work on what they are authorized to do. They let me know if something else is not right, but they don't start working on it for a forced upsell.

They are like no other car place I have ever worked with. From front to back they are super courteous. The paint, the body, and the mechanical work, I am always very pleased with everything they do for me. They are always upfront, very communicative, and very knowledgeable. They are a USAA star rated shop, which means the USAA thinks they walk on water. Thankfully I have USAA, so it is a double bonus for me. R.J.& G. Collision is all around fantastic; they have never done me wrong.
