Friendly Plummer showed up a half hour late, And I should have told them to go away then. He only looked at my furnace and the cooler outside. Never looked at any of my intakes or registers. Told me that my system was undersized and it was so low on refrigerant it would cost 900.00 dollars to recharge it and then thousands more to find the leak and so on until it was going to be over 5000.00 to fix. Told me to purchase a new larger system that would completely cool my small 1600 sft home. He said he could get a crew in today and have the system completed in a few hours. After I was charged over 11,000.00 dollars, the system won't cool correctly. It won't shut down. It runs from morning until night without shutting down. They sent a installer back out to look at it. He put a new thermostat in it. Then left. It still would not shut down. So I called them again and was told they would send someone out in 5 days. Funny how they could do all of that in one day, but when there is a problem, it will take 5 days for someone to come out. When I found out what the actual units cost, I realized these people are making more than 6000.00 dollars profit in 4 hours, I realized I had been taken. I am very $@!#% off when I found out that these guys just start very high on price and get whatever they can. My problem was I didn't say I was getting more bids because he just told me my system was barely running, (although it was cooling just ok) and said they could have done same day, I just gave in when he just said sign here. Completely my fault, but I am sure they were laughing when they see what they nailed me for and then have to wait till next week to get the brand new top of the line Coleman system running correctly. Do not even call the Friendly Plummer. Someone that you know, can always find out what the actual units cost before you sign! do not do same day! It's a racket!
