Less than happy...sadly disappointed after after being a long time customer.
I have been a PVA customer for several years. My last experience with Poudre Valley Air was less than acceptable. I felt that I was taken advantage of by both the service tech and the service manager. I was told that I needed a new control board for my eight year old furnace. On line through the Lenox dealer I found the part for $165. Poudre Valley Air charged me $510 for the part. I asked the service manager about the mark-up and he replied that it was expensive to have a service guy on the road, ready to help customers. I then asked him if the $67 diagnostic fee might absorb those costs or if maybe the $238 dollar service agreement might absorb those costs? He said that it was all part of doing business. I saved the part and will be having it checked at a Lenox dealer to troubleshoot the problem and also find out my warranty coverage. I think there is something to be said about good customer service. I hung up the phone feeling that I had been taken advantage of all over again by the service manager. I cancelled my service agreement and still walked away with a $577.50 bill... Happy Holidays!
