It has taken me almost 3 months to lose the animosity for this moving company before I could write this review. I hired them to move my belongings from a storage facility in Ponte Vedra Beach to an apartment in Jacksonville Beach on August 11, 2022. The two gentlemen arrived with the truck promptly at 9:00 AM. After that, it went downhill. It took them forever to even begin loading the truck, and each one of them took a lengthy break. At 11:30, one of the gentlemen approached me with some bogus story about his mother being held at gunpoint and they needed to leave, but they would continue loading my things before they left. At noon, I was told they were going to park the truck at their boss's house and another crew would bring the truck to my apartment after they had finished another job. At 1:15 they showed up and proceeded to unload the truck. They were not very happy about having to carry things up to the second floor. Then it began raining and they tried to get out of finishing the job giving me a story about slippery steps and liability issues. I insisted they finish the job, and they did but were clearly not happy about it. When they were finished, they refused to assemble three beds claiming they had not taken them apart so they couldn't put them back together. They also told me they didn't have a tool kit on the truck. I had cleared this with the owner before hiring them. They tried to charge me for 8 hours when they had only worked 6.5. I refused to pay until the beds were assembled. I will say that the owner came and put the beds together, so they got paid. In addition, they left several heavy items in the storage unit that I had to move myself, which infuriated me. They had plenty of space to put those items in the truck in the first place. The owner told me they would go back and get those items, but I would be charged more money, which was ridiculous. They also did not use any furniture pads even though they had a whole stack of them in the truck, which resulted in some damage to some of my furniture. I would NEVER hire this company again.
