I hired National to do a Complete inside & out Renovation, Siding, Roofing, Windows, Entry door, Kitchen & baths. First, there were No high pressure tactics, the Estimator didnt come in wearing a shirt & tie w All hard closing Sales, but No Construction knowledge- NO! Came dressed as an Upscale Contractor- Nice pr of Jeans, a Company Polo shirt etc & gave me the Company Story, then was going outside to measure & asked if I'd like to join him, as that way I could help him if he needed, but so I could describe Exactly how I wanted the Exterior to look. It was Obvious he Knew what he was talking about as he had the same exact Idea's & Suggested a few that would Really Seperate My home from All the others. He then came inside, I forced him to eat with Me, as I knew he must have been hungry, & I'm Italian, I love to feed people w my Famous Meatballs & Sauce. After Dinner, he was a such a Gentleman, as he began to demonstrate the Superior Quality of The Windows, The Siding, the Entire Roofing System & The Entry door, he had a catalog for the doors but also a suitcase that had each Component of the door. As far as the Kitchens and bath, it was just so late that we agreed to make an immediate Follow up Appt for those. He gave an Estimate though for the Roofing System, New Gutters, Sising Door & 28 New Energy efficient windows that were FULLY Loaded with ALL of the most energy saving additions, He gave me a copy of their Insurance and as ANY Honest Contractor does- He told me that National would obtain ALL Building Permits. To be Perfectly honest- it wasn't cheap, but, You get what you pay for & as I had learned over my life, trying to cut on quality due to meet a price point has caused me to buy Several things Not Once, like i could have if I spent the $$, but Twice!! They weren't CRAZY High, maybe $6k above the lowest estimate and $5k less than the Ripoff Companies, So, he didn't even have to ask me, I picked my colors, signed & gave him a check. The next day The Owner Ralph called to say Thank you, he gave me HIS cell # & told me if I had ANY questions to feel free to call Him! Honestly, that took me by Surprise, as I knew of National's reputation & how Big & Busy they are doing Tens of Millions in Business Every Yr. So, then came the estimate for the Kitchen & Bathroom Complete rip out & redo. Again, My estimator had come back, went over everything in detail & about an Hr in, my doorbell rang, & it was Ralph The Owner. Such a nice, sincere Guy. He wanted to see how All was going & put a Face with the name & number. Not many Companies, except usually the one man band working out of his home does such a thing. Again, He stayed, gave the estimate, again I signed, picked my colors, & Ralph said he'd have the Architect get on this Immediately, as Special Beams need to be in place as I was chinging the entire layout & this home is old. About 3wks I was called w a Start date, I was thrilled. Sure to Ralph's word the project started That day w the roofing and gutters, next day the Windows. Then the Bathroom - which besides there being a foreman on the job, again Ralph made it a point to show up & make absolutely sure that I was happy. Again, this made me Very happy. They did the Siding the day after ripping out the Bathroom & also ripped out the Kitchen. 2 days later, crews were here to frame out the new Kitchen & bath,the electrician & plumber were doing the extensive wiring & plumbing needed. Next morning they put up the new drywall. The next morning they sanded the walls, washed them as needed, layed the special concrete flooring panels for the floors in the kitchen and bath. The project went off without ANY Issues. The owner Ralph was here at least 3x's a week & did a Final walktrough inspection to make sure i was 110% Happy. Which obviouly, I am! 😁. My advice is to Not waste your precious time going through needless,6hr painful Sales pitch Circus Appts😝. Make Your First call to National Home Improvements, you'll be thrilled you did.
