Myers Auto Service

Unhappy with my experience

I am a full supporter of going to the local business to spend my hard earned money, but I will not take my current vehicle or any other future vehicle to Myers. I took my vehicle there to have an inspection done, it was completed the Tech at the front desk was very honest and helpful informing me "it's not worth spending the money to fix this truck, keep the oil filled and drive it until it goes" when I went to pick it up, it would'nt turn over.......the battery was dead and the mechanic didnt want to take responsibility, and my pet peeve is when someone say "I don't know" this is just an unprofessional response regardless if he knew or not, man up and take responsibility, No! instead they decided to blame shift and start telling me, "you let it sit to long" 2 DAYS??? I let my truck sit like this on the weekend and it start back up on Monday. Anyway, they jumped started my truck, now my remote didn't work lol!.......at this point I am starting to get angry because my truck is in a worse state prior to me bringing it there I went home and called back up there, to complain and I was greeted by a guy, convinced that Myers (company) and the employees, poop smell of roses. I would have been ok with "Mr. Meade, I apologize, I am not to sure what happened as to why your vehicle battery died, and why your control device stop working, especially considering the fact your vehicle was turning over AND your remote device was operating when you dropped it off, so if you would bring your truck back up here, so we can check it, and fix your control device, in fact as a courtesy I will give you a credit for future work" NOW THATS customer service!!! No, this guy decided to argure with me and basically make it appear like it was my fault that my truck didn't turn over and I was the one who caused the malfunction. This review has nothing to do with the second mechanic who checked my truck, nothing to do with the guy at the front desk who I first encountered, they both were good to go, this has EVERYTHING to do with the first mechanic who should have just been a man and say "I take responsibility I must have left something on and the battery died and I dropped the key control and caused malfunction" and the guy who decided to argue with me over the phone, BOTH need to be counseled and reminded that the customer are the reason why the bills are paid and the reason why Myers are in business.......One unhappy customer will be a thorn in our side forever!
