I live in Virginia Beach, and I liked the idea of using a local monitoring service, like Vulcan Security Systems Inc. I found them in the phone book, and as it turns out, they are a highly respectable service. The installers that came to my home were punctual and trustworthy. It all worked out well, and they even came back to fix a few little problems. Other companies are not nearly as honest as Vulcan.
