Overall I have had a good experience working with Laughlin Kennel, however everything did not go as planned and some things were disappointing as a customer of theirs. The dog we got was sick, not in the best health standards when we decided to go ahead and adopt him. The consultation with the dog beforehand within the facility was very short and brief, under an hour I would say and that made me feel a little strange. Nevertheless, I moved forward in the process and decided to adopt him anyways. They explained everything clearly and made sure all the contingencies were well known, but when I got back home and in the weeks following the adoption, the dog we chose got even more sick and I had to take him the veterinarian which cost even more money on top of what we had already paid for him to begin with. After talking around to a few other customers of the Laughlin Kennel, they said they experienced the same thing as well and were dis-pleased. This is only reflecting the situation with these few dogs, not the entire institution as a whole and the customer service the entire time was great but due to some circumstances following the adoption, I have mixed feelings. Finally, a few months down the road with persistent care, the dog we chose is getting better and stabilizing health wise.
