My storage unit was searched by the police without cause of any kind. They trashed the unit and destroyed my stuff. Nothing was taken, and they replaced my locks at my request. Excess was either the direct cause of this or conspired with the police, who lied about the entire thing. The came about, I assume at someones discovery of my criminal record. However, all so called "evidence" or "cause" to search my units was fabricated. It was frightening how much they lied to me. If Excess and the police could do this, I genuinely fear what they are truly capable of. There was not, and has never been, any illegal activity of any kind in my units. The entire thing was a fishing expedition, made possible by police lies and Excess facilitation. I do not like Excess, although I'm sure any other storage company would have done the same. Shame on you for not protecting your customer's privacy. I only rent from you out of convenience. At the time of the search, I contacted my attorney in preparation of anticipated future issues involving your company and the Knightdale Police Department. After all, it happened once, why not again?
