For the most part, hotels and tours were excellent--on time and well organized. The guides were excellent and the size of the tour allowed us to talk with the guide and learn about China government and people. The trip was packed with sightseeing and travel was a bit hard with constant moving but the guides helped all the way with luggage and arrangements. The weight limit was a problem and we bought a suitcase to come home as we purchased items. My wife wanted more time to shop and some advice from guides on Where and what to buy. We did feel we saw more of China than the average tourist and appreciated the history. It would be nice to have a brief preprinted sheet with information about the dynasties.
