Affordable Transmission

Highly Recommended! Great Mechanics, are hard to find!

We recently brought our 2002 Buick Regal into Affordable Transmission. My husband warmed up to Randy right away, where I was skeptical due to how many times we have been 'burned' by mechanics that my husband warmed up to.

Randy was very honest with my husband in regards to the year and make of my cars transmission. We would have rather gone with the cheaper of the two fixes, but Randy said that it can be a gamble -we could be back in four months with other problems if we didn't go the whole rebuild. But he wasn't high pressure.. the decision was ours.

We decided to do the complete rebuild. Randy said that it was a wise choice because our 4th gear was about 90% gone. Whew.. that would have been another headache in about 6 months. Since Randy was going to have to take the axles out we asked him to put in two new ones, which we provided. He gladly did so.

When we got the car back, my husband had to do a fuel filter, and noticed that the side cover gasket appeared to be leaking. So, we took it back to Randy.

Randy replaced the seals in the axles, and we brought the car home again. And again.. it seemed to be leaking. Now i'm thinking, we found a $@!#% mechanic right? So we bring it back and Randy got right on it. He called my husband and said that he suspects that the axles we purchased were machined wrong. So, we got new axles, and voila!, no more leaks. We were getting frustrated, but my husband said Randy was too. He actually finished the car the same day we brought it in the 3rd time.. but he didn't want to give it back until he know for sure it wasn't going to leak!

Randy also has been willing to give my husband advice on doing some things on his truck, now that is a nice guy.

Bottom line is.. Randy is not a $@!#% mechanic. He does good work and takes pride in a job well
well as he proved to us by not blowing us off when we said there was something wrong. He has certainly won me over, and we both feel that we have found a mechanic that we can trust from now on for the things that my husband can't do.

Everyone says how great a guy Randy is.. it's not b.s. He really is. Give your business to the small guy.. especially the fair, nice, hard working small guy.
