In my discussion with the service rep, he shared with us the condition of our furnace. He recommended that we consider a new furnace. He explained that he had serviced our brand of furnace when he had a different employer. He recommended that we purchase a new furnace. The cost would be between $4-5000.00. My son was listening to the discussion and got on line and found that our furnace has a recall and that the units that are in question can be replaced for the cost of the labor. This would be around $$-500.00. I know that in our present condition that we would choose to have the recall work done. I trust that you can inform your worker of this recall.
I thought that he did a fine job. I was disappointed that he did not have the information about the recall. That repair would allow for the furnace to work more efficiently and at a lesser cost than a replacement.
