I called CTC in June 2012. Rick Peart immediately got my IRS tax transcripts, and showed the exact dates of bankruptcies and collection status expiration dates. The IRS was going to attach my Social Security, and I was afraid of losing my annuity.
My case is being handled by Michelle Herrington, who within 6 and a half weeks not only stopped the SSI garnishment,and protected my annuity. I am in an uncollected status for at least a year. After that I only have 4 months left to be touched, if even that. By the time the IRS starts with 2013 tax returns, May 5, 2014 should be long gone by the time they remember me.
