My goal was diving where I had the best chance of seeing whale sharks. I was well aware that (as someone said) it's not Seaworld and the show doesn't start at 1:00, so I also wanted a trip that wouldn't be a total bust if the whale sharks didn't show. Terri Huber arranged 8 days of bliss in Placencia where I was lucky enought to have multiple sightings of whale sharks (as well a huge logger head turtles and other beautiful sea creatures) through an excellent dive center (Splash). In addition, I had a great tour through Monkey River (manatees, howler monkeys, bats, many medicinal plants), and a place to stay on the beach that was aptly named Nirvana. Every aspect of the trip was managed perfectly so that I had nothing to do but soak in the experience and enjoy it.
